April 3th, 2014, Beijing China Mobile request Helios Technologies to help them to resolve
the TD-LTE indoor coverage issue in their Retail Store in Guangquemen in Beijing.
After site survey by technician, Helios engineers decide to use 2 units of TD-LTE 2.6GHz 17dBm
Digital ICS Pico Repeater to inject the signal from outdoor TD-LTE 2.6GHz Macro BTS into two
separate areas / directions in the Retail Store, which it will be SISO solution only.
Before power on the Helios TD-LTE Digital ICS Pico Repeater, the overall TD-LTE signal coverage in
the Retail Store all are very weak, the RSRP is around -97dBm to -114dBm at different spots in the
Retail Store, average download rate is around 6-12Mbps, average upload rate is around 0.76-3.63Mbps.
Especially in the deepest area, the Manager Room, the RSRP is very weak as only -114dBm on there,
high drop call rate, download rate is under 1Mbps, upload rate is around 6Mbps Afte power on the Helios
TD-LTE Digital ICS Pico Repeater, the overall TD-LTE signal coverage in the Retail Store are improved
very much, the RSRP is improved to around -85dBm, SNIR is improved to 14.5, download rate is improved
to 22-25Mbps, upload rate is improved to 8Mbps, and improved much customer’s experience on mobile data
service through 4G TD-LTE network.
