Public Safety Digital Multi-Band PICO Repeater

Helios® Public Safety Digital Multi-Band Repeaters employ Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology based upon our FPGA & DSP Platform. This achieves high out of-band rejection and high intra-Carrier interference compared to traditional Analog IF SAW filters. It also enables on-the-fly filter change/upgrade by software without an expensive hardware upgrade. Software based “time slot AGC” and “time slot squelch” mechanism for channelized repeaters which reduces noise transmitted to the base station thus improving overall network performance and selectivity.

Helios offers complete and integrated solutions for TETRA, DMR, PMR, P25 and LTE Networks to ensure coverage of major public infrastructure; such as police stations, garages, power plants, exhibition halls, airports, sports arenas, road and rail tunnels, hotels, convention centers, shopping malls, office towers, parking lots etc.

The Repeater is connected via coaxial cable to a Donor Antenna and Service Antenna or DAS. The Donor Antenna is placed outside the building where it has access to a BTS signal, and the Service Antenna or DAS are placed in the building where they can extend radio coverage to the areas lacking coverage.
